So the heavy cream was what I was missing… Guess that’s why my bf didn’t like my mac n cheese.lol Imma try it this way

to me the heavy cream just makes the cheeses taste a lil richer.

ok so I use like 7 different cheeses, asiago, colby monterey jack, sharp or mild cheddar, munster, 5 or 6 blend italian, and velvetta, half and half or heavy cream, no eggs though im allergic. This is the only mac n cheese my family will eat.

Girl!!! I made this mac today and the pan is half gone!! I like the cream cheese in it, it taste different yet good. I had to do some tweeking bc the 3cups I used was too many noodles so I had to add more eggs and milk. Hey! I dont think on the blog use said to use and egg. I should have looked at this video before I make it too I would have helped visualize.

Just wanted to let you know that you didn’t put to add two eggs on your website. I made it without the eggs though and it was still good :^) Please continue to share your recipes.

You didn’t put to add two eggs to the cheese mixer on your website. I made it without the eggs though and it was still good. Keep doing what you are doing because you are teaching me a LOT :^)

Okay I bought my ingredients yesterday and I’m looking forward to trying this tonight or tomorrow. I had to get my smoked cheddar from the deli and I’ll have to shred it myself. Did you get yours already shredded? Also, I’m extremely tempted to add a lil sugar to the recipe. Not sure if I’m going to do that though. I’ll let you know how it turns out!

@TotallyTyra yeah I had to shred mine up myself. If you aren’t a fan of a sharp mac n cheese then a lil sugar may calm it down. Just taste the mixture before you put it in the oven and see if you think it needs it. I usually go a lighter on the velveeta although my husband likes it with tons of velveeta.

I’m back! I think I like my regular recipe a little better. I’m not sure if it was the sharp cheese or what. I think I just prefer a different taste. It’s still good though and was definitely worth trying! We’re having the leftovers tonight! Also, I had to use a 9×13 dish because three cups ended up being alot! Thanks again for sharing!

Thanks for trying it Tyra! Yeah it’s a sharp mac n’ cheese. I have another one on my blog as well that has a more milder taste. I’d love to try your recipe as well.

very good i love it

22 TotallyTyra May 3, 2010 at 2:00 pm

Okay, I’m back yet AGAIN lol. I still had some leftover smoked cheddar cheese that I didn’t want to go to waste and I was reallyyyyyyyy wanting some mac & cheese so I tweaked the recipe here and there to suit my taste and I liked it! I guess I had to get used to the smoked cheddar. I used much less than last time and when I added the sugar it cut down on the sharpness. It still had that hint of smokiness and I was like “yeah, I can dig this” LOL – Thanks! ~Tink

I looked in my kitchen and had next to NOTHING I needed for this recipe. I was bummed. I wrote everything down on a shopping list…by the time I wrote the last item down, I was so OVER it. I decided to order pizza instead. Not very Diva of me, right? LOL! I love myself.
